How they celebrate in Bavaria, sent by old neighbours Walter and Renate, perhaps ex neighbours is better.

The TAG Line actualities allow us still to participate in the daily events within the area which kept us over the last 25 years, thanks for your endeavour and your enthusiasm.

For the Christmas period Florian and his family came in from California, in consequence together  with the Tobias´ Vogls 11 people will sit around the table for lunch on Christmas day. On Christmas Eve usually we have only a light dinner, followed by a sit together under the decorated pine tree singing a few Christmas chorals und sipping the traditional punch. This is also the moment when Renate is opening the hitherto closely guarded tin boxes of the large variety (this year 25) of homemade Christmas cookies. Those members not yet overtired participate in the holy Midnight Mass in our parish church, in order to commemorate  by a dignified ceremony (accompanied by chorus and classical orchestra) the central event of these days some two thousand years ago.

Quickly  as it arrives  Christmas will be over, and the daily duties will occupy all of us .
One could await that in our northern fields winter would rule the three months of long nights and short day light but this year turns obviously to the extreme contrary as the forecast of today 24 Dec 2013 shows up to 18° and no single snowflake in view.

We hope this gives you a little glimpse of how things are going on here during this period of the year. Looking ahead means to remain in close contact and to probably see each other in course of the new year.
With best seasonal greetings from the "Christmas on balcony" in Bavaria
Love Renate and Walter with families
Val says Walter and Renate were our neighbours here at Mas del Sol till at  nearly 80 ( sorry for mentioning that Walter, you only look 60!) Walter decided the 12 hour drive down from their house in Bavaria was too much. Their  second home is still at Mas del Sol here in our gite which will have doors always open for good friends like these.
