Festival at Puycelsi

66 singers arrive on Tuesday and will rehearse works to sing at the Salle des Fête at St Antonin - the ancienne salle des thermes at 21.00hr on Thursday 25 July and again in Puycelsi on Friday 26 July at 19.00hr. Their concerts will include Cesar Franck's Seven last words of Christ and other works they have been learning.

However the Festival has many more exciting events. On Friday 19 July at 21.00, the church at Puycelsi, a Basque male voice choir will be singing their wonderful and unique music as well as more traditional French songs. They will be accompanied by a guitar and tambourine

On Saturday 20th  at 21.00 there will be a free event featuring the story of mme Françoise Tacite from Blue Quercy. Her adventures, dreams,jokes and life story will be told by Oliviero at the foot of Puycelsi ramparts.

Sunday 21st at 17.00 the Maîtrise of the Cathedral of St Etienne will sing a concert with a wide ranging programme from Bengamin Britten through Boyce to Leonard Cohen
(Val this is not Mark Opstad's choir though we have booked them for winter 2014)

Wednesday 24 July 19.00 an Apero Guinguette at Chateau Terride. American Music from the 1930s and 40s together with modern Latin American music will be giving an early evening concert. Admission is free and there is the opportunity buy locally produced foods and sample the wines of the chateau
