Feed the birds and what an array of species you will see. Hanging on and feeding round our feeders we have had 6 different species of finches, Hawfinch, chaffinch, green finch, gold finch, siskins and bramblings. Then woodpeckers, nuthatches, tits by the thousand, tree creeper on the tree nearby. They all seem to prefer the sunflower seeds to the nuts but Henny and Penny clean up the nuts.
Someone mentioned you can buy big bags of sunflower seed somewhere near Monteils but we are not sure where.

This is where the sunflower seeds come from. On the road from Caussade to Lapench, you come past a big barn on your right, the feed seller is opposite on the left (there is a gap of at least 500m separating them)
