Very distinctive whistle and there it was at 8am as I was in the field feeding donkeys and letting out hens. He is often difficult to see even though biggish and yellow [ like a large stuffed canary] but Kath who lives on the river bank in Varen sees and hears them often. Infact as she reads this she is probably saying ''saw one a couple of weeks ago''
Malc says Kath sounds like Ratty or Mole living along the river bank!
