Each year in France alcohol causes the death of 49,000 people, 36,500 men and 12,500 women. That is with out mentioning all the other health related problems from drinking. Guess which area is one of the highest in the list, Midi Pyrenees and also in the top list for most young drinkers. Add that to alcohol related road accidents and we are talking about a lot of trauma and sadness within families.
Next time you wonder about that extra glass of wine, say no thanks - I've had enough. (and you can remind me !)
Malc says He heard on Tele Matin yesterday that excessive drinking for a man, 3 glasses of wine per day and for a lady one and a half glasses taken over 14 years raises the chances of you having a stroke significantly. Malc thinks he should perhaps have two years off and I should perhaps put more water in my wine.
