Val says please before you click and read the article, read the piece below. I hate even mentioning the name of that rag on TAG. It feeds readers with little intelligence who are jealous of people with second homes abroad and delights in satisfying those readers with tales of our forthcoming downfall.

The article does not make clear that this legislation, the result of complaints by the hoteliers lobby, is aimed at websites like AirBNB and other copycats. Room renters through AirBNB have reportedly been denting the hotel trade in big cities across Europe, so the lobbyists got busy. Unlikely that it affects holiday rentals where people rent out homes or barns etc in rural regions of France at least. Comments to taglines82@gmail.com
