Sunday 16th August in the church at Caylus will be a concert of baroque music as part of a festival of French baroque music, centred on Villefranche. A choir of some 20 women will interpret some XVIIIth century scores written anonymously for the company of the Penitents Noirs of Villefranche, but not performed since that time. Transcribed and arranged for the choir it is a chance to hear some unknown baroque airs as well as more well known pieces by Charpentier and Nivers. The chorists and soloists will be accompanied by musicians from the Toulouse ensemble Antiphona.
