Despite 10 days of rain in June and snow melting in the massif there are water restrictions in two local departments, the Lot and Tarn & Garonne. The restrictions concern taking water from rivers and reservoirs. Here we are affected by restrictions to the Baye and Seye and other small tributaries of the Aveyron.
The restrictions are "level one", ie it is forbidden to take water at least one day per week from rivers or more than 15% from any single reservoir. The big rivers are not yet affected, but farmers and gardeners are concerned that more restrictions could be ahead.
