Forest fire in Gironde

Since Friday pompiers and Canadairs have been fighting a forest fire covering now 550 hectares. The changes of wind have made it difficult to predict where the fire would spread to and more than 600 people have been evacuated.
We wonder if the smoke we smelled during Friday night could have blown all the way from the coast (It was windy!).
