The chap who I had offered lunch to when he said he was driving to see Mirka, has just phoned to say he was setting off for the hour and a half drive. I said I assume you will have eaten, but no he said, "can you hold it for me?"
I thought we better discuss the arrangements concerning the dog being secure. Could he fence a portion of garden to keep her safe? I know he has hectares of land. No, no that would be impossible he said, just not practical. I want a dog that just stays round about, and the front door goes directly on to a road.
There are some dogs that you could let out and would stay by the door, but these are few and far between.
So the advertising of Mirka commences now as the man sensibly decided not to come.
Mirka is lovely, close your ears Eldo, she is actually the sort of dog I would have wanted if Eldo had not wormed his way in to our affections.
A brittany spaniel, 8 years old, has always had a good home living with another more elderly dog.
She obviously attaches herself easily to an owner as she has really taken to Malc, and they are once again sitting in the shade asleep together. She is house trained, loves going in the car. Is fine with cats and other dogs. Would need a fenced garden. Before the reader accuses me of dog trafficking she is of course puced and vaccinated. She is the easiest dog imaginable and just loves a cuddle and is not a barker.
