Beaux Villages and Geof Cryer

You may remember the name Geof Cryer, he by creating a wonderful choir "le Restoration Consort" is working to raise money to repair the organ at St. Antonin.
Only here a short time Geof  and wife Mia have made a place for themselves in the community. I like people who put something in to the community and Geof through his concerts and Mia through her craft group, leading a Fifi group, are doing just that.

My other life centres around music. Having graduated from New College, Oxford as a choral scholar, I plied my trade as a male alto on the London circuit for 12 years. Throughout this time I sang regularly with The Tower of London, St Martin in the Fields and Polyphony, as well as deputising with most of the big name choirs. I toured Europe frequently, and of course met my wife Mia while performing with The Gentlemen of St Johns (Cambridge) in Sweden in 1991. We have four girls now, located in Vancouver and Nice, with just Tess still at home with us.

We are very fortunate to have my cousin John and his wife Debbie and 3 children living close by in Les Espiemonts near Caylus. A joint holiday in 2012, staying at a farmhouse near Penne, proved to be a formative experience for both our families. John and Debbie run the plant nursery, Le Jardin des Espiemonts, specialising in alpines and perennials. They arrived in France a few months before us and were able to keep us informed on what to expect – invaluable!
Val says now Geof is taking up a new role helping to sell houses for a well known internet group Beaux villages. Geof is setting about building up a portfolio of houses in the area and we have agreed to include this agency in the selling of our property.
