This disused railway bridge is from a walk we did in the Lot, the bridge crosses the river Célé which is a tributary of the Lot just downstream from St Cirq Lapopie. The railway I believe connected Brive to Toulouse via rural villages, the section between Cahors and Capedenac approximately 70km closed in the 1980's.
There are a couple of projects under going discussion, one to create a "voie vert" for walkers and cyclists the other wants to reopen the line for trains. From what I have read it doesn't seem to be going well as both parties feel that their project is the best, sounds all so familiar.Nev
