The right thing to do

Hi Val
In this sort of situation the very best thing to do after a phone call from
the 'fraud department' of your bank is to say to the caller 'Thank you for
the information. I am coming straight down to the bank to sort this out'
Never do any cancelling of cards or give any information on the phone - go
straight to the bank. If the card has been used fraudulently then you have
to go to the gendarmerie and 'fait opposition suite a une utilisation
frauduleuse sans depossession'- they then give you a form that you take back
to your bank. The bank deal with ordering the new card etc.
I hope this is what Louise has done.
