Last year a series of thefts of sheep in the Tarn and Aveyron shocked producers and gendarmes. The thieves broke into yards and stole the transporters with sheep inside. But these thieves showed their inhumanity when one lorry proved too difficult to start, so to obliterate their traces they set fire to the lorry in which 103 sheep perished.
One year on two men have been arrested one in the Loire region and one in the Aude.
