Following the posting about flight changes, I have just been told that the Flybe route from Birmingham to Toulouse has been cancelled for the whole of next year's summer season. I received a surprise e-mail from them today, just three days after I had booked! So it must have been very sudden - perhaps following the change of ownership of Toulouse Blagnac.
I just wonder how many direct flights this will eventually affect as many people use Toulouse airport. So far it seems that EasyJet is still operating a direct flight from Bristol, so long may it continue!
I am not quite sure of the reasoning behind it - the Flybe Customer Services representative was not able to answer. It is almost certainly sure to be something to do with landing rights or charges direct to Toulouse as other flights to France are operating from Birmingham. You can still do it, but via Lyons and it takes 5-6 hours!Winter here in UK too!
