... and he played us into our new life here in Varen. Our grand daughter was celebrating her first birthday as we tearfully left. We drove down in two cars filled with plants and possessions too precious for the removal van. We slept overnight on the ferry and then drove straight here without any problem. A part of our new life awaited, we were still working then, attending book fairs around the world and we still had book stock exhibited in London. I think it took 4 years to wind down and ease in to life here and can you belief at that time there was not a pet in sight, not even on the horizon.
Friends laugh at our " change of life" from precious books to precious animals, one activity lucrative and enjoyable, the second activity having pets, costs a fortune but is rewarding.
And that little one year old girl Charlotte whose birthday party we left is 14 years old today so Happy Birthday, you gorgeous girl.
