The 14th July fireworks in Najac is a bit more than that and always great fun. The fireworks themselves are set off from the castle which makes it particularly spectacular but here is the full programme:
20h : Veau à la broche (Menu : assiette de charcuterie, aligot et veau à la broche, dessert, vin et café compris). Tarif : 15 euros - moins de 12 ans : 8 euros

The meal itself is very informal with long tables and the chance to meet all sorts of different people.
I can recommend it but unfortunately my broken leg will stop me going this year.
