The first of April, April fools day or in French Poisson d' Avril. The French use it in the same way as us by playing a trick on friends. I had an idea to pretend the donkeys had escaped but to be honest that is so likely to happen I thought it had got beyond a joke!

The funniest April Fool was on BBC' s Panarama in the 50' s when they did a "spoof" telling viewers how spaghetti was grown on trees told by Richard Dimbleby. 8 million viewers took it seriously.
