Fanfaron

Dear Val & Malcolm,
First of all congratulations to you Malcolm on your new appointment. Is this the end of “Malc says” and the beginning of “Malc speaking”?

Secondly, well done to Fanfaron’s new family for leaving  his  basket for him to come “home” to . I have been told by local hunters that it is common practice to leave a jacket (or some other garment smelling of the owner)  at the place where an errant hunting dog was last seen. Nine times out of ten the dog will find it and wait for his owner to come back. This is particularly true  for “scent hounds”. It is not so likely to be effective for dogs which hunt principally by sight such as greyhounds. So.....if you see garment lying in the woods think twice before picking it up. It may be there for a good reason.

Love,
Sally / Milhars
Val says  - Do not let us encourage Malc too much, he does need to know his place in the scheme of things.
On Farfaron, as you say well done for that idea. Let us hope they do not need to use it again!
