Now I guessed " maquillé" was cover up, as in putting make up on to cover up and Malc confirmed I was on the right track.
Anyway the husband pretended his wife had just fallen downstairs but with all the " blessures" / cuts to her face and the fact that she had been strangled made the gendarmes arrest the man to stand trial for her murder.

If I do not admit that whilst I am up feeding the outside pets Malc is making my breakfast not actually in bed, I might go the same way myself.
