Our neighbour who has the house over the road as a holiday home, fortunately not very close to us, has put it up for sale. A bargain I think at 145,000 euros with a nice piece of land, fabulous views, good roof and a big barn. We and some other Dutch neighbours up the road are watching with interest the different possible buyers who come. I spotted a young couple with a baby and so idly walked the dogs past to strike up a conversation. A lovely couple French, pretty baby and they have two boy donkeys, castrated, thank heavens so I was in ecstasy, it could be donkey and baby heaven at Mas del Sol. The story continued the next day when the young Mother arrived with her Mother and they came over for a chat. Over a coffee we discovered the Mother was planning using the main house and the young couple were going to divide the barn for their family and another son would have the other part of the barn, so it ended up ''Uncle Tom Cobleigh and all' They left with us all saying '' croiser les doigts'' but behind closed doors Malc and I were wondering if the tranquility of Mas del Sol was just about to be shattered. I may add it is not a done deal as others are looking and nothing is signed. The story will unfold.
