Not the usual sort of recipe from Glynis

This is a recipe with a difference for you.

I recently found a nest of rats who were feasting on my chicken food and as I have a hen sitting I needed to get rid of them.

I'd read this recipe somewhere and read that it was safe for cats and chickens

I mixed equal parts of bicarbonate of soda, flour and sugar and popped it by the nest. I did this two days running.

(You need to make sure there is a supply of water nearby)

The rats ate it all, the chickens took no notice of it and there is now no sign of rats. Voila!
