Fun day planned at Parisot

We are looking to create a a sporting day around the lake in Parisot on 15th June between the hours of 12noon and 17.00 hours. The event will be to promote the activities of the sporting associations both in and around Parisot and they will be given space to display their brochures and activities and also a fifteen to twenty minute slot on stage to demonstrate what they do.The event is targeted toward families and not specific age groups
Following the presentations we will hold a Miss Parisot competition for the men (It is fathers day). The idea is a fun event, really a ritual in self humiliation rather than a drag event  but hopefully good all round entertainment. Miss Parisot event will be followed by sporting events, mostly targeted at Les Enfants, Egg and Spoon Races, Sack Races, Obstacle races, Threelegged races and just straight sprints. They will be broken down into age groups, but we will also mix in some of the events for adults, just to maintain interest.
After the races we will have a team event, Tug of War, with teams of five to compete for the villages, hamlets, friends, associations.
Last event will be the Raft Race. Raft to be assembled at Lakeside and teams to compete over a designated course.
The restaurant will be open and we intend to lay on the village barbecues so that visitors can have a communal picnic. Those wanting to bring their own food will be welcome to do so.
Entry into the Lake will be charged at 5 Euros per car. Entry into the Raft Race at 10 Euros per team
Needless to say we will also be looking for volunteers, how many it is too early to tell as we have not yet canvassed the local Parisot community, but help will be required in terms of the following.
Setting Up on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th and breaking down on Sunday 15th, Collection of Entrance Fees, Starting and Finishing Marshalls, Barbecue Management etc

No doubt there will be more. We will also require tentage for administration purposes, I have one of 9m x 3m but ideally we require three on the day.
Please find attached a breakdown of Tug of War Rules, Raft Race Rules and Miss Parisot Description. Remember all ages welcome to attend and all ages welcome to participate.
The attached documents are in English, however this will be very much a French event so everything has already been translated.
Any help you can offer would be appreciated and please pass this email on to anyone in the area you can think of.      Reply-To: Roger BLAMIRE   billblamire@wanadoo.fr
Val says contact Bill on his email  to be sent the spoken of documents direct. Also it is great we are all continuing with these events planned  with and for our French friends and neighbours. What better way to bring us all together.
