Sunday's European election

If you are resident here in France and inscribed on the electoral list you may vote in the election on Sunday. In fact you may have received a large bundle of papers in the post containing the various lists'  manifestos and for each list a single sheet "bulletin de vote". This latter is a voting paper and can be used in the voting booth, though there are copies available there.
There are about 8 lists standing in the south west. Each list has the group's candidates in order of preference, from the "tete de liste" downwards. The votes are allocated to the lists in proportion to the overall votes cast - quite a complex system.
No UKIP standing here, but you can vote for or against Europe's future on Sunday, before or after you have celebrated mother's day.
