We took the donkeys down the road this morning to clear another bit of field which is stacked with logs. When we walked the dogs past in the afternoon we think the donkeys must have flushed out of the long grass, two snakes. The dogs were barking at one of them when the snake put up its head and lashed out at Twister with forked tongue. Malc came home just to verify that they were just grass snakes / couleuveres, which we think they were. You never have your camera when you need it.
