Industrial vegetables from Spain

I would just like to say when I said 'Spanish' vegetables i should have
said 'industrial' vegetables, my desire to avoid these has very little to
do with where they come from even though i do choose to buy local when
possible.
But Spain is the European country where a lot of industrial vegetables come
from, hence my reference to Spain, and industrial vegetables use enormous
amounts of, often banned, pesticides and the workers are often people from
outside of Spain working in atrocious conditions with very bad pay having
been led to believe they would have a better job and better conditions.
Yes we do have a history of exchange, as always a lot of it (colonisation
for example) was based on exploitation.
