I do worry when I hear a less than positive remark about TAG. At the Theatre at Les Cabannes a friend told me someone had said to her " What ? you still read TAG? there is only so much you need to know about f. . . . . . . donkeys" I laughed when she told me, but did after reflect perhaps I overdo the donkey tales. Trouble is then someone said " oh, I love the donkey chum tales" I miss everything else out and look for those! Trying to keep 700 viewers happy just cannot be done, but I will continue to try.
The Theatre evening programme made most people happy last night with a great performance by Micheal Lunts in a A Meeting of Minds. A story of Rachmaninov and Dr Dahl, which included Rachmaninov pieces being played by Michael on a grand piano. Great start to "the Friends of the English Theatre"
