Easter book sale

Dear Everyone

Not too long to go now, I gave up alcohol for Lent and am doing quite well apart from the odd twitch at about 6pm.  I tell you this because if I’m rather over excited at the Book Sale on Easter Saturday, it will be because I’ll only have a few hours to go.  Makes me sound rather dependant !!!

So, Easter Book Sale, here we go again, we’re hoping for your support ...... and your money (!), every cent of which will go to dog rescue and cancer research.  It will be on the 26th March (Easter Saturday) and, as last Autumn, will be at the St. Pantaleon (Lot, near Montcuq) Salle des Fetes, from 10am to about 3.30 pm.  Plenty of parking space in front of the Salle as well as minute’s walk down the road.

As usual hundreds of books and lots of dvd’s all at 1 euro each, but what I think a lot of you come for are the cakes !!!  Yep, lots of them too plus tea and coffee and hot soup and chilli – vegetarian and meat, take your choice – if you can stay for lunch.  Our own Quercy Domestic Goddess, Amanda, who is rather poorly at the moment, has, on one of her good days, already made her sought after hot cross buns.

Do hope you will be able to come along – this year we don’t clash with the Pheonix sale, Shelagh very kindly having checked before arranging theirs.  That’s what I call fair play and pulling together !

Books / dvd’s to donate ?  Please contact me and I can arrange to collect if you are not too far away and can’t get to us.  Good condition books only please, it breaks our hearts if we have to dump any !!

Thanks, as always,        Sue    Poorpaws
