A site for horsey people received a mail from someone on how it was important to have your hay tested (no doubt with a hay tester they could sell you) You need to test for essential minerals etc, etc for a good balanced diet for your horse.

How do you test hay?
Ask your horse to eat it.
One lady says she already has lots of hay testers in her stable.
For me I know rich hay is not good for greedy donkeys, so anyone who has hay that they think does not meet the requirements, send here for my girls. They will soon polish it off.
You will be pleased to hear that they are settling down and have stopped calling for the boys.
The boys I hear who have a full field to munch, have not lifted their heads from grazing!
