we are a "mature" English couple who, having sold our house near Limoges, are actively looking to buy a permanent home in the area covered by TAGLines, which I found while searching online.
Having lived abroad for many years we are very aware of the need to have regular contact with other expats, as well as the local community, so I wonder if you could confirm our feeling that there is a lot happening in this area which is organised by expat residents.
Although we speak French, me very well as I was an au pair, we know we can never be a full part of the French community with its roots, family ties and shared history, so we want to be as sure as we can that we will be able to mix with and find a wide range of people/groups/clubs etc.
Any comments you have would be very helpful.

Val says We have been here 14 years Pat and find there is so much organised it is sometimes difficult to fit everything in.
If it is not happening ( whatever is your thing) and I would be suprised. TAG can help you find other like minded people.
Playing, bridge, boules/ petanque, walking, cycling, eating groups, ladies group covering all sorts of interesting things cookery, discussions etc. concerts, fund raising events for churches, cancer support/ aid groups, canoeing, games evening in local bar, quizzes, book and DVD swap each month.
Just a few ideas. Let us know when you are set to come and we will point you in the right directions.
We love it here and so will you and having command of the French language is brilliant for giving you an entry into French life.
