After Christmas many friends and businesses decide it is time for a holiday and head off to warmer climes, southern Spain coming out top of the list. It is easy and cheap to hire an apartment for a month or so. Usually the climate is milder and you do of course save on heating bills here.
Not for Malc and I, with all the animals a month away would be impossible.
Even before we had the pets we had an offer from a book buying client to use their very smart apartment in Spain for a couple of months. I hated it and after a week we decided to come back.
Not for me at all Southern Spain along the coastal areas. We had a lovely drive back through the interior driving through field after field of olive trees. Cordoba, Seville and the Alhambra were lovely and some of the cities are interesting. We like the Costa Brava as it still has retained its beautiful coastline without the high rise blocks.
We could not see the beauty we have here everyday and for us sun is just not enough (though nice to see it again today).
