That is what we were told yesterday with our first visit, when a lovely couple viewed the property.
With 5 having a second viewing I think a home had already been decided on. It makes one realise that there are just too many houses for sale and chances of selling are not great. We were at a dinner party last night discussing it and of all the couples and singles there everyone, except one had a house for sale, three wanting to move in the area and one going back to the UK.
A couple whose house has had been for sale for numerous years, had received a derogatory offer and had decided it would be better just to stay put, if they were going to end up giving the house away.
Malc and I love it here and if selling is not going to be an option we will take steps to make the work easier. Not renting the gite and keeping it for family, getting a gardener to help with the grounds and maybe more help with cleaning.
Malc says ... but we have only had one visit, it is early days.
