Only yesterday I said how dangerous the life of a farmer or farm worker was and one of the first stories in the Depeche was a death of an agriculteur out on his tractor, working the vines. His tractor was found in a deep fossé / ditch upside down and the man who was only 52 was dead.As Malc says "that was a helluva big ditch"
