We are constantly amazed here how localised the storms can be. A headline in the Depeche reads
"Les orages ont fait des dégâts dans le Tarn-et-Garonne" and I am sure certain places suffered a severe hit with grele/ hailstones, strong winds etc. We all seem to get our turn, but how often do you hear of a severe storm a 10 minute drive away which just skirted where you live. Being high up here we can see the storm coming and often see it change direction but when it keeps coming and hits, what can you do but take cover. We have friends not to faraway who are still waiting for a few drops of rain for a parched garden, whilst others are cleaning up from too much rain.
