Armed robbers were holding at least ten people hostage at a Primark store at Villeneuve-la-Garenne to the north of Paris on Monday morning.The hostages are believed to be members of staff from the store.A specialist armed police unit had been sent to the scene.At around 6.30am two or three armed men broke in to the Primark store to carry out what we believe was an attempted armed robbery,”a police source told Le Parisien newspaper. One of the hostages managed to raise the alarm by sending an SMS to a friend, reports said.
