At the final hour someone in the community stepped forward to give Diego a foster home. He is now in a large fenced garden sleeping in the grange.
His future is still not secure, a home needs to be found. Kathy dog catcher and rehomer is a very emotional lady. She brought the little brittany spaniel Merka we are fostering and was in tears of relief that Diego had not been sent off to the refuge.
The little girl Merka is a sweetie and is fast asleep at my side at the moment, with Eldo on the other side. Disdainful Bonny is next to Malc, the pair of them agreeing " what is Mum up to with all these dogs?"
A chap from the Lot arrives tomorrow to see if he likes Merka. Kathy tells me even if he does we cannot let her go, she needs to go and check the man and his location out.
