One is used to seeing bicycles, shopping trollies and all sorts of rubbish thrown into canals and rivers, but a man of 41, an SDF (homeless person) visiting Toulouse was picked up and thrown into a branch of the Canal du Midi by two others. Not really funny (if it was meant to be a joke) as the man got into difficulties and was rescued by a passing jogger, who happened to be a doctor.
The man is recovering in hospital and the aggressors, who took to their heels, are sought by the police.
