Hogwarts en France

I remember thinking why? when our nephew wanted an owl as a pet for Christmas, well Harry Potter has a lot to answer for.
I do not want one, Malc is ambivelent as long as it does not damage the house walls... we have for  better or worse a tawny owl nesting. The evidence has mounted till it is now pretty clear without having seen him, we know he is nesting in our walls. We did leave holes in the house next door for the kestrels but nesting owls in our main house has never been part of the plan.
The evidence:
We know owls are up on the roof at night, we can hear them.

We have found regurgitated food below where we think the nest is.

The shutter below is now covered in streaks of pooh, not from a sparrow!

We have a slight hole under the eaves, just big enough for  this just larger than a pigeon sized bird.
We really are country folks up here with a kestrel in the gite and a tawny owl in our house. Donkeys in the field, cats in the barn and not forgetting old Granny hen Penny!(or lovely Bonny the dog)
Malc says " we could have some territorial issues come the spring."
