Home made restaurant food

From 15th July restaurants which have made their dishes from scratch will be able to put a "fait maison" symbol by the dishes. The food must have been prepared from raw materials, though these may have been bought frozen, peeled, chopped etc (potatoes are excluded, so no frozen chips passed off as home made).
Dishes which include cheese, bread, pasta etc, which may not be home-made may be included. This is part of a campaign to maintain standards in French culinary establishments.
