Fêtons l’Eau – Saint Antonin Noble Val
During the weekend of 30 May – 1 June Saint Antonin Noble Val will celebrate again the Fêtons l’Eau. All activities during these three days will have something to do with water in and around Saint Antonin. All activities (including canoeing on the Aveyron) will be free. Visits to the Grotte de Bosc are against reduced prices. Activities can be cancelled because of weather conditions.
10.30 Guided Tour (in French): St Antonin, une ville de l’eau. Meet at the Office du Tourisme.
13.45 Walking Visit: Circuit de l’eau potable (Drinking water). Meet at the cross on the Place des Tilleuils. Reservation necessary on 05 63 24 06 26 (CPIE Midi Quercy). Bring good walking shoes.
16.00 Demonstration of Pealing of wicker in the old days on the Place Ramon Jordan
10.00 Presenting the Canals. Meet at the Cross on the Place des Tillieuls.
Between 10.00 and 16.00 Canoeing in the Gorges de l’Aveyron (7 km). Reservation necessary on06 80 52 02 03. 120 canoes available. Meet near the bridge, Avenue de la Gare. Wear warm clothes, extra dry clothes, bottle of water, k-way,…
From 14.00h Visiting the Canals under the surface of the city. Meet at the Office du Tourisme. Reservation necessary on 05 63 30 63 47 (Office du Tourisme). Take headlamps and high boots with you.
21.00 Presentation of films in the Salle Verrière (above the post office): L’eau, Aqua ça sert and the France 3 film Cap Sud Ouest Tarn et Garonne, Causses et Gorges du Quercy.
9.30 Guided VTT Tour with water theme. Two levels: easy for children and adults / sportive for adolescents and adults. Possibility for free VTT bikes, reserve on 06 48 35 59 21. Meet at the Place du Pradel.
9.00 – 12.00 Fishing demonstration by the Fishing School, Place des Moines.
14.00 Walking Tour with water theme. Meet at the Place du Pradel.
During the weekend from 14.00 – 17.00 the Grotte du Bosc can be visited with the ancient under water river. Special tariff € 3 adults and € 2 children. But: you have to show the special orange leaflet with the program of the days!!! Available in the Office du Tourisme and a lot of other places.
The garden of the Presbytère will be decorated with all kinds of old furniture and attributes based on the water theme.
