The Glasgow School of Art on fire

Dear Val
You might like to let all your Scottish readers as well as Art Nouveau lovers know that Charles Rennie Mackintosh's iconic image of Glasgow and Scotland is on fire. The fire started in the basement and has swept through the entire height of the building - either four or five stories I cannot remember which. Although much of the building has been saved the Library and the roof above it has been destroyed. No one has been injured. I am not sure if the fire is under control yet
Ginny
Val says that is awful news Ginny. Such a wonderful building and the library was just fabulous. I cannot believe it.
As booksellers we specialised in books by Glasgow school artists particulary Jessie M. King. We had many trips to Glasgow and the Glasgow School of Art will always be our favourite building. Going off to read more about it.
