Arm of the Louvre opens at Lens

Created in the deprived  northern city of Lens, near Lille, a major new Gallery has been formed. A branch of the Louvre opened by President Hollande and open to the public from the 12th of Dec. It is hoped that more than 700,000 visitors will pass through its doors in the first year, bringing customers and people to the deprived area after the closing of the coal mines.
