If having your hairdresser come in each morning, or whenever you ask during the day, could make you a good President, then Francois Hollande would be well ahead (excuse the pun) in the polls.
But his personal barber, earning around 10000 euros per month, has had no such impact as Hollande languishes at a level of popularity never seen so low.
Apologists explain that the personal hairdresser is available "24/7" and has had to neglect his own salon. Having an impressive coiffure has never seemed to add to President Hollande's allure (should ask Julie Gayet....)
