The prefect of Haute Garonne (around Toulouse) has banned the sale of fireworks to private individuals and private displays. Organised displays for 14th July will still be allowed. Nor can individuals buy petrol in jerrycans from tonight, presumably to avoid setting fire to other people's cars to mark the Fete Nationale.
