Dear Malcolm and Valerie,
I have just re-read your email for only the second time since our cats were taken to Danielle - 18th May 2015.
It is still very painful thinking about them and looking through the many photos of them playing round and about our home in France.
We can't bring ourselves to replace them even though we have always had cats, maybe in the future when a rescue cat here in the UK needs a home.

Readers can you remember this most distressing story?
Phillip had a stroke and the couple needed to get back to the UK but needed to rent a property, so could not take the 2 cats. The local cat charity refused to take them without a large sum being paid, the couple in despair at first thought they may have to have them put to sleep. The vet refused to do this. TAG was contacted and within a short period of time a representative of the Bridgitte Bardot animal foundation, Danielle Dixie contacted me to say she would take the cats for a very small donation.
Malc and I collected the cats and delivered them to Danielle in the Lot .. mission accomplished.
Two happy people and two very lucky cats.
