Florence and Anais the two French leading lights with the refugees held a meeting with us all last night to discuss how the boys were settling in and how we could best meet their needs.
Overwhelmingly the lads are happy and feel safe, they know we are all giving our time and donations for them. They are so grateful after all their hardships, they find the kindness overwhelming.
" Why you do it for us" one boy asked. Florence replied " we would like to think if we were refugees, you would help us"
We asked what the boys enjoyed or would like to do, 17 hands went up for weekly visits to a local mosque. Next hands went up for cricket. Then football and many asked if we could find gym equipment.
So today my appeal is for that gym equipment you have never used. It can come back to you in the middle of March when the boys will move on.
