Nous sommes le mardi vingt deux

People ask me " how can we help"
Well last night I paid over 200 euros to a French teacher to buy books and teaching aids in French, Arabic and English. A big part of this amount was a donation from a  Dutch lady called Eleanoor,
many thanks.
The rest was advertising money from TAG adverts.
Now my reserve pot is nearly empty.
Last night Anais had to post half of the asylum dossiers completed and needed to send them " avis de reception" so I handed over 55 euros.
We still have another half to buy photos for and send off the next batch. I am relying on family Christmas presents to pay for simple things like this now. The family know we do not want anything but to see these lads into a better life.
I wonder how ayslum seekers generally manage without our help. From today the young people are having French lessons every day given by volunteers with teaching skills.
The lads have no money at all to pay for anything as government money takes so long to be given and accessed.
Some have run out of money on their phones so cannot keep in touch with family, they watch the ones using phones talking to friends. Some like Mikal have no one to contact and he is very sad indeed about this.
One youngster needed a dentist and the simplest thing was just to pay, Anais the paid helper has no funds.
If you live near Rehoboth and can give a small donation please go and find that day's helper and give a donation. If you live further afield send me money or cheque

Christmas is a time for giving and here in our beautiful corner of France we have 17 young men in need.
