Sundays is bike day, shared with much enthusiasm. Most of the lads are around the same age as my son & I have to say that I think of them as boys... they've had to grow up so quickly, with childhoods that rapidly evolved into hell & early manhood most never got a boyhood at all. From conversations with many I gather that this is the first time they have felt safe in so long that they can truly relax & those boyish good spirits in the younger lads can come forth. We're picking up more bikes from the Emmaus in Lisle sur Tarn on Wednesday, the aim is to have one a piece. This morning they cycled to St Antonin with Laure bringing up the rear in her van hazards flashing, then in true boy fashion they needed lifts home.... how many times at our house on the top of the causse have we had that phone call - "can you come & get me?" I don't think bikes go uphill anymore!!
