The right goods and fundraising

Hi Val,
Here is a list of requests for Calais. We leave on November 2nd (not October 23rd) so people have a few weeks to collect things. We will attempt to keep the list updated as we hear more over the coming weeks. If we end up with more than a bus full we would hope to return 1st week of January.
Shoes trainers or hiking boots No leather,
Tents, covers & tarpaulins, also heavy duty builders plastic, sleeping mats/small lightweight rugs,
Jackets,
Travelling bags/wheelie bags,
Socks, Pants, Belts,
Candles,torches,
Tracksuit trousers, Thermals, Waterproofs,
Jeans,
Blankets, sleeping bags, duvets,
Soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, disposable razors, sanitary products, (all available very cheaply from Leader Prix)
Woolly hats,scarves, gloves
Coats, jumpers, hoodies,
Pots & pans, plastic plates & cups,
English/French dictionaries,
Unwanted laptops, mobile phones,

Towels,

Apparently at the moment womens & childrens clothing is plentiful. Laptops are required for the library that has been set up so that people can skype family, unwanted mobile phones can be a lifeline.

Please to all of you wishing to donate, remember that this is winter coming up so no summer clothing. I'm sure there are things that we haven't thought of so try to picture yourself in a tent in Calais in the winter & if you've got any good ideas share them.
Massive thank you to all.
