A 23 year old prisoner decided to take advantage of a Bastille Day excursion to extend his liberty. But a couple of months later while sunning himself on a Brittany beach he was spotted by two prison guards who happened to be on holiday there.
Quickly arrested and returned to the local prison, he told the court that he had wanted to play cat and mouse and had lost.
The man seems to be multiple recidivist and will now receive his sentence extended by the time of his walk-about.
